Together Tools Soft-Launches Neon, an App That Rewards People for Showing Up at Local Businesses

AVILA BEACH, CA – October 24, 2026 – Together Tools today announced the successful soft launch of Neon, its new mobile app that rewards people for visiting local businesses in person. Available on the App Store and Google Play, Neon debuted on October 15 with six businesses participating in the initial rollout in Avila Beach.

“Launching live showed us a few areas to improve,” said Scott Benner, co-founder of Together Tools. “It also proved that businesses and the people around them want the same thing: more reasons to show up in person.”

Two Related Goals

Neon was designed to serve two related purposes.

   Bringing people back to their communities. Since the pandemic, many people have pulled back from their daily in-person work and social connections in their communities, and brick-and-mortar businesses have felt the loss of those customers. Neon encourages people to get out, make connections and be rewarded for spending time out with friends.

   Giving local businesses the tools that online businesses rely on. Through Neon’s pay-for-performance advertising model, businesses can see the number of Neon customers who came through their door, whether those customers were new or returning, and the revenue attributed to them. Businesses also have full flexibility to adjust their customer acquisition cost (CAC) based on a variety of factors. Until now, that insight has not been broadly available to brick-and-mortar businesses. Neon turns that around. Most of the ad spend is returned to customers as credits to be used anywhere in the Neon network, expanding business for everyone.
